The oven goes on at four in the morning.
Marigold started as a two-person operation selling sourdough out of a garage on 12th Main. The bread sold out by nine every Saturday, which felt less like a triumph and more like a problem worth solving properly.
We took the room next door in 2023, put in a deck oven and eight tables, and started serving the breakfast we wanted to eat ourselves. The bread is still the point. Everything else grew around it.
